Dear LEGO Group,

My journey into software engineering started with a LEGO Mindstorms robot when I was seven. That early curiosity turned into a career building production systems for over a million banking users, and today, as a Founding Engineer at Avido, I architect secure cloud infrastructure for the financial sector. When I saw the opening for a Senior Software Engineer in Packing Technology, it felt like the perfect intersection of my background in high-scale cloud architecture and my roots in industrial embedded systems.

I have always been drawn to the “you build it – you own it” mindset. At Avido, I own the entire delivery cycle of our AI evaluation platform. This includes making architectural decisions across our React frontend and Node.js backend, managing our Azure Kubernetes infrastructure with Pulumi, and ensuring our CI/CD pipelines are robust and secure. I thrive on the responsibility of not just delivering a feature, but ensuring it is scalable, observable, and built to last.

Before moving into the banking sector, I spent several years at Moto Muto building embedded Linux lighting controllers. That experience taught me how to bridge the gap between software and the physical world. I worked with Yocto to build custom OS images, used C++ for low-level protocol handling, and built React interfaces to make complex systems manageable. I understand the constraints of the OT area and the importance of reliability when software interacts with manufacturing hardware.

I am a strong believer in good craftsmanship and a healthy engineering culture. Whether I am leading a SOC 2 security audit, mentoring junior engineers on architectural patterns, or contributing to open-source projects, I focus on building things the right way. I enjoy the challenge of exploring emerging technologies and identifying where they can bring real value to a platform, without losing sight of security and privacy by design.

On a personal level, I am a social person who enjoys contributing to the office atmosphere. I live in Hedehusene and often spend my weekends on house-renovation projects or running in Hedeland nature park. I would love the opportunity to bring my experience in both cloud-native development and industrial software to the team at LEGO.
